The only bowl game that mattered on our half acre was played tonight, the Fiesta Bowl*.
Where Texas landed after being robbed a spot in the Championship game due to the ridiculous 3 way tie rule. Robbed. They whipped Oklahoma during the season, how can Oklahoma take their spot in the Championship?
Regardless, Texas took what they were given and just sent Ohio State home crying. Remember that, Oklahoma, when you face Florida. It should have been Texas.
*Disclaimer - I'm a USM graduate, for me bowl games don't get bigger than the "We had a winning season so let's go to the Waffle House Bowl" Bowl. But Greg lived in San Antonio during his formative football years and attended UTSA. I have adapted due to lack of other options. They play basketball, too. Bring on the March Maddness brackets.

Well, according to the "experts" all of the bowls, except for the game Thursday, are the equivalent of the Waffle House Bowl.
And those people can bite me.
If there was a playoff system I'd buy it. There isn't. It's not about the best team, it's about the best publicity. Theoretically, there are four main bowls with the top teams, everything else is pretty much the Tidy Bowl. There are just so many of them now, anybody with one game over a winning season is eligible for something.
Cow doesn't know anything about bowl games.
She is, however, very familiar with bowls, and the very most important Bowl is the one holding snacks. Preferably chocolate.
Moo!
Isn't UTSA the Roadrunners?
TC - Those are the best kind of bowls, without a doubt.
And Doghouse, yes. The Roadrunners. heh. We were discussing that the othernight, and how it could be worse. My cousin was a Boll Weevil. Another friend was one of the Fighting Okra. I was very happy to be a Golden Eagle!
I am officially not speaking to you any longer. ;P
What'd I do? Was it the making fun of Southern Miss or not talking enough smack about the Gators? If it makes you feel any better, we keep referring to that upcoming game as the Consolation Bowl.
