Waiting

What do you think President Bush is doing this morning?

Seriously, he's in the last few hours of the last real job he'll ever have. Can't you imagine him sitting in the Oval with his feet propped up, messing with a Rubiks Cube or something. The Joint Chiefs walk in all, "Sir, we have this major crisis in some rinky dink foriegn country..." And he's like, "Eh, whatever, give it a couple of hours and tell it to the new guy. I'm done here."

So, probably not, but still. These last few hours have to be the longest of any presidency.

If I were Bush, I would have slept in.

I think it's more than the last few hours. Once the election is over, they're ready to rush you out the door and bring in the new guy.

Ha! Good one.

Except of course, he's been busy pardoning people and dismantling the Endangered Species Act during his last days.

Moo!

Yeah, but that was all the "hurry up and screw up what you can in the last few days" stuff. It's those last few hours, when really, there's nothing left to do... I just can't imagine being a president and after 4-8 years of nonstop insanity, you're suddenly sitting in the most powerful office in the world with nothing to do.
