Home

Yes, we made it back late yesterday afternoon. We had a great time at the beach and didn't want to leave, despite not actually doing much. The pup didn't like it, yet he seems depressed now that we're home. I'd post pictures, but Greg left for Las Vegas this morning and has the camera. Yes, I was originally supposed to be going to Vegas too, but I backed out after our fairly miserable trip to Disney. I decided that flying while pregnant wasn't a good plan for me. Frankly, I'm not sure leaving the house is a good plan for me, but that's a whole different story.

I've spent many hours trying to catch up with everybody in blog-land and Facebook. I finally gave up on Bloglines and just cleared the last 300 posts after caching up on the personal blogs I read. I also deleted a hundred or so unread emails, so if I missed something important, sorry.

Oh, and a question for those of you who keep promising me that I'll feel better soon. Does that come before or after the excrutiating pain in almost all of my joints, including knees, ankles, hip, shoulders, fingers and worst of all, wrists? Just wondering. I think I turned 94 instead of 34 last week.

I am so sorry you are still feeling so bad. I guess you must've gotten whatever bad gene I got...from the Reese's I assume. :) I was nauseated pretty much the entire time I was pregnant. I think I just managed to figure out what helped make it tolerable. With Parker, I ate and felt better. With Dalt...well, I'm still feeling a little nauseated. h/h! He told me the other day he didn't like me and got mad at me and raised his fist. I'll show him...I told his daddy! I did spank him...which is a regular occurence...no, it doesn't do anything but p*** him off! ha! He is DEFINITELY my payback! ha! Anyway, I stuck to starches like potatoes, mac n cheese, I also craved spicy food. It didn't make me sick. I couldn't drink dark drinks...tea, coke, dp, just sprite, and water. It sucked...no caffeine! Anyway, glad you made it home. Love you!

So sorry you are having the pain. It is no fun. The worst for me was the numbness in my hands. Would wake me up at night that and my hands feeling like they were cramped and when I woke up in the morning not being able to bend my fingers.

Glad you at least had a relaxing week without having to do much of anything.

I'm glad this trip was a good one. I never heard of having pain and numbness like that during pregnancy? But you DO like to do things your own way and you ARE TINY so it'll probably hurt you more since you have more stretching to do than I did! =)

I suspect being in my mid-30's doesn't help with the crazy pains and such. It was awful Friday and Saturday. Couldn't sleep. Couldn't hardly walk on Saturday for the pain my my ankles and knees. Add in the rather nasty sunburn and it made the 5 hour drive home quite miserable, along with trying to turn around and get Greg ready to leave for his trip. Thankfully he ended up doing most of that himself while I lay in bed wishing I could just die and get it over with.

Your body is preparing for childbirth. No fun, I know, but the reward at the end is worth it. And you really wouldn't want to try to birth a child without all that joint adaptation. . .just sayin'.

Glad you had a good time at the beach. I really am sorry you feel so bad and do hope it eases for you soon.

I know, it's part of the package. But I'm a natural procrastinator, can't my body wait until the last minute for these things? :)

I should hit week 14 next week, so if I'm not feeling much better quite suddenly, I'm going to hunt down all those people who told me it would get better and cry on them. That'll show them.
