Greg broke his toe on one of our dining room chairs last night. I can say from experience, having broken mine once on a bathroom stall, that it hurts like the dickens. Having heard my husband's childhood history of broken bones, however, this is by far not the worst injury he's ever suffered (that would be when he was hit by the truck).
Unfortunately, he also got called back to the courthouse for jury duty today, so he can't even get one of the docs in his office to tape it up for him today. If I'd known it was broken last night I'd have taped it up for him then, but I just thought he'd bruised it. Not that there's much that can be done for the toe, other than laugh at the driver for kicking the chair.

My boss' wife broke her toe yesterday too! Weird!
I broke mine last year accidentally kicking a metal table. That was MAJOR ouch!
May be a way for him to get out of jury duty.
OW!
broken toes hurt like the dickens! and nope, not much you can do but let Father Time heal it.
Come to find out it's a torn ligament. Yes, they did an xray just for fun.
Toes.
Much maligned, yet they carry the weight....
Feeling sorry for the toe.
Moo!
So, what do they do for torn toe ligaments?
Same thing they do for a broken toe. Buddy tape it, try to keep it elevated and avoid shoes and walking when possible. I've been dropping him off at his office so he doesn't have to hike across the parking lot every morning.
