The DQ in Clinton is a town tradition, but I really think a lot of the old DQ's are, probably because they've been around forever and made great hangouts. My hubby and I used to go to this one when we were dating, just to get milkshakes and watch the train go around before he had to drive back home to Morton.
And my dog's birthday is Thursday, but I don't see him getting an ice cream cake. CHEESE cake, maybe. Or just cheese.
Is that one of those new DQ Grills? I find those a little weird. I like the old fashioned ones. Kinda like our new Sonic, which isn't a drive in, it's a drive through. Or an eat in, which is even weirder. But you can't park your car and order anything, then eat it. You either drive through or park, get out, go inside and sit at a table. That's just plain WRONG.
Did you at least have the drive in choice, or did you HAVE to go sit down to eat? My Sonic, the one by my house, not the new one, has tables outside that you can order from, but it also has the drive in. The new one has no drive in. It's called America's Drive In for a reason. Not America's Drive Through!
I've been married to a wonderful man since 2006 and have one dog, one kid, and one on the way. I have lived in different areas of Mississippi my entire life and have to admit, I've never had a big desire to live anywhere else!

I had no idea Dairy Queens were so beloved by so many people. I guess I take mine for granted.
Hubby's birthday is Friday - I see an ice cream cake in our future!

We've just gotten one in the past month here in downtown Brandon. I've only been once. Too Pandora's Box for me, kinda dangerous.

I grew up in Oklahoma and we had a Sonic that you could go sit down inside and eat it. You had a little telephone to call back your order.
