The Valentine's Bunny Egg Hunt

I have never been able to figure out what colored plastic eggs have to do with Easter, but a few years ago I decided that if we can randomly hide and hunt eggs at Easter, why can't we do it for other days as well? Thus the Egg Hunt tradition began. First on a random day one Fall when Casper hid a huge pile of leftover plastic Easter eggs from Jen. The eggs resurfaced a couple of years later when I instigated a Christmas Egg hunt as part of our Christmas Fun activities at the bank.

Now, once again, the little plastic vessels of goodness have returned. While Greg was out of town the Valentine's Bunny hid a pile of plastic chocolate-filled Valentine's eggs. He found one when he got home last night, and is convinced there are more. Bwahahaha!

Of course, since it's the Valentine's Bunny, there's a chance that they don't all contain chocolate. You just never know with that Valentine's Bunny.

What happens if the Valentine's Bunny sees his shadow while sliding down the chimney to hide the eggs?

Well, what's the count up to now??

At last count I think he'd found about 26, so ten more to go. Unfortunately, I can only account for 33, so there are 3 that I can't remember where I hid!

LOL. Glad to see things never change with you!

You know this is why I NEVER use real eggs!

He found all the ones in the kitchen cabinets, the one in the freezer, all the ones I'd left sticking up out of the extra toilet paper rolls in the guest bathroom, the ones on the computer and desk in the office, the one in his eyeglasses case, the two in the Wii drawers, one in his office, the one under the dirty laundry, the one in the laundry room, the one in the dog treat box, several laying around in the bedroom, the one in the kleenex box, a few random ones in his bathroom and the one stuffed between the towels in the linen closet. He's been pretty good at it. There's only one, maybe two, left that are really in plain sight.

That rocks. I think my daughter does that too, hide plastic eggs that is, but not on purpose. I find crap like that all the time...

Don't forget the one buried in the kitty litter.

We have no kitties, just a nutty pup. His idea of hiding it would be to put it on the floor and push his nose against the carpet all around it, as though he is actually covering it up with carpet. At that point, he's convinced we can no longer see whatever it was he was hiding (usually his dog food).
